5 Tips for Saving Water

Camped offgrid and need to save water? Here are 5 things we do to save water:

1. When offgrid, we shower only every second or third day with baby wipe "baths" in between.

2. Showers are very short, turn off while soaping and only ever wash hair when desperate

3. When washing up, use the smallest amount of really hot water.

4. We don't have a washing machine, as we find they use too much water. See our Blog How to survive without a washing machine.

5. We have a water spray bottle beside the toilet (with a few drops of dettol or eucalyptus oil in) and just use spray for #1s. Toot paper in bin for #1s also.
